    Established in 1977, WFSICCM is an organization comprised of national societies of intensive and critical care medicine.
    The WFSICCM currently holds memberships of over 79 societies and 80,000 intensive and critical care practitioners worldwide.

    The principle objective of the World Federation is to promote the highest standards of intensive and critical care medicine for all humankind, without discrimination.
    The WFSICCM has put its utmost effort to foster international collaboration in intensive and critical medicine due to the growing international focus on diseases.

    The KSCCM was founded in 1980 as an organization to support the efforts of clinicians in
    their practices and development of critical care medicine in Korea. Since its establishment,
    the KSCCM has grown considerably for 30 years, involving 1,500 active members. The KSCCM is one of the member societies of the World Federation Societies of the Intensive and Critical Care Medicine (WFSICCM) as a representative organization of Korea. The KSCCM's mission is to ensure that all critically ill patients achieve their desired outcome by receiving proper treatment, through the delivery of the safest, most professional, ethical, and humane methods possible.

    WFCCN aims to represent critical care nurses and critical care nursing at an international level, improve the standard of care provided to critically ill patients and their families throughout the countries of the world, and advance the art and science of critical care nursing in all countries throughout the world.
